Placing Photos on Pages: In your Pages Folder (located in you Websites Folder on the Server) you will find a page already made for each of your assignments. After you have formatted your photo and saved it correctly in your Images Folder, open the page and place your photo on it by going to the Insert menu above and navigating to your Images Folder located in your Website Folder. Select the photo you want to place, and click on the button that says Choose. The image will appear on your page.

Writing Captions: You will also Write a Caption for your photo identifying the person/people in the photo and explaining what is happening. Be sure you have as much Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How information as possible. More about Caption Writing can be found here: lhttp://lhs.lps.org/staff/gkeller/Pages/writingcaptions.html

Making Links: After you have completed the assignment and placed the photo on the appropriate page, you will create a Link to that page from this page. To do this, select (highlight with the cursor) the name of the assignment in the table above. Go to the Modify menu and choose Make Link. Navigate to the Pages Folder in your Website Folder. Find the page that you want to link to, click on it once, and click Choose. The assignment listed on this page in the table above will turn blue to indicate that it has become a live link.

Testing Links: To test the link, click on the globe icon at the top of this page and select Preview in Safari (or Firefox). The page will open in Safari, and the link should work as it would on the internet. To make more changes to this page, you must return to the Dreamweaver version of the page.

-Only make links to assignments you have COMPLETED.

Submitting Assignments: Assignments are considered submitted on time if the are formatted, placed on the page, linked correctly, and working on the live internet site. When you are ready, tell Mr. Keller or Mr. Maly that your site needs to be uploaded, and we will update your pages. CHECK THEM ON THE LIVE INTERNET SITE TO BE SURE EVERYTHING IS WORKING. If a link doesn't work, or if the image doesn't show up on the page, the assignment is considered missing and you will receive a Zero for that assignment. Missed assignments can NOT be resubmitted for credit. Be sure everything is working before you leave the room on the day an assignment is due. Enter the date that you completed the assignment in the Date Submitted field in the table above.

Resubmitting Assignments: For the first three graded assignments, if you resubmit your assignment for a higher grade, enter the date that you resubmitted it in the Date Resubmitted field in the table above. If you do not put a date in that field, I will not regrade your assignment.

**Remember that if you resubmit an assignment it must be done within one week of the date of the original deadline, and that you must turn in something on the original deadline to be able to resubmit it. If you don't have a photo submitted (placed on the website with a working link) by the deadline date, you will receive a zero for the assignment, and it may NOT be resubmitted.

NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE LAST REGULAR CLASS PERIOD OF THE SEMESTER BEFORE THE FINAL EXAM PERIOD.
