On November 8, 2018 the PreACT assessment will be administered to students who are in 10th grade. ALL sophomores are expected to take the PreACT. The PreACT will give students an opportunity to take a practice version of the ACT that all students will take in April of their 11th grade year.
There will be no school for students in 9th, 11th, and 12th grades on Thursday, November 8 due to most staff being involved in the testing in some capacity.
Sophomores will need to report to their testing rooms no later than 8:00 a.m. Testing will begin by 8:05 a.m. and lasts until approximately 12:30 p.m. Students will be dismissed after testing. Lunch will be available after testing if students choose to stay and eat, but they are not required to. Please note that students MUST arrive on time, and students MAY NOT USE CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT ALL during the entire testing period, so we ask that students simply not bring cell phones or electronics with them. No food or drink is allowed in the classroom. Students must wear their school ID, some form of ID is necessary as required by ACT. Students should bring their own calculator. If there is a question about if their calculator is permitted by ACT they should check with their math teacher. Attendance for this test is extremely important.
