All juniors will have the opportunity to take the ACT on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021. This day will be a no school day; only juniors will report to school. Families who have not filled out the consent form, which gives permission for ACT to share student scores with the colleges they select, should fill out this electronic form by April 1st. All 11th grade students will create a myACT account in their US history classes next week. At that time they will be able to choose up to 4 colleges to send their scores to. If your student doesn’t have a US history class or is a zoom student, they will need to come to the cafeteria on Monday, March 29th or Tuesday, March 30th between 8:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. Students will receive an email with a scheduled time to report to the cafeteria.

The day of the ACT, all students will need to report to their assigned testing room by 8am. They should bring a calculator, #2 pencils, a snack, and a water bottle. A limited number of calculators will be available to check out the morning of the test. Students can always check out a calculator from their math teachers prior to the test. This year, there will be a writing portion so most students will be done testing around 12:45pm. Students who qualify for extended time may be done between 12:30pm and 2:45pm. If your student is absent on the day of the test, there will be an opportunity to make-up the test. An email will be sent to those students with more information.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our test coordinator Maira Mendez,  mmendezr@lps.org.
