Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools
Log on to The Foundation For Lincoln Public Schools for more alumni information. The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools provides new and expanded opportunities for Lincoln students, recognizes excellent teachers, staff and students, and builds strong, supportive relationships between the community and our schools. Since our founding in 1989, generous donors have provided more than $24 million to Lincoln students and schools through the Foundation.
The Foundation is managed by a professional staff with the guidance of an active, involved Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. We work with donors who wish to establish or enhance programs through one-time gifts, annual pledges, lifetime gifts or legacy gifts. The Foundation received the 2006 Integrity Award from the Lincoln Better Business Bureau in recognition of our high standards of service and accountability. Our Fund-A-Need program and Community Learning Centers have both been recognized nationally as model programs.
Fund-A-Need
Fund-A-Need is an innovative web-based program developed to help students and staff in the Lincoln Public Schools. The Fund-A-Need section of the Foundation’s website allows teachers to post creative educational ideas and needs online as a “proposal” for all to view. Donors can choose from the online list of proposals and make a gift to fund a classroom need.
