The LHS Class Reunion Schedule

Class of 1994 Reunion

FRIDAY NIGHT JUNE 21, 6pm – 10pm: Gate 25 Bar and Restaurant
(300 Canopy St. #140 Lincoln NE 68508 – Haymarket)
We have reserved space, there, and I believe a dedicated bartender. Everyone can order whatever they like to eat and drink from the menu, and socialize with classmates. Its an indoor-outdoor situation at The Railyard, and OFTEN (no guarantees) there will be some sort of live music, or a DJ playing in the “yard” itself.
Attire: You do you, Boo. It’s June and you might be outside, so dress in whatever you feel fantastic in.

SATURDAY LATE MORNING JUNE 22, 11am: Lincoln High School
(2229 J St Lincoln NE 68510 — c’mon now, YOU KNOW)
Lincoln High Tour. Come and see how things have changed since 1994! Boosters will be on-hand with LHS merch for sale if we want them to be. Grab your “Once A Link, Always A Link” alumni t-shirt, or get a bumper sticker, license plate frame, hoodie, ball cap, pennant banner, or whatever other swag they might be carrying at that time. Most of their funds are used to sponsor post-prom and similar events for current students.
Attire: Don’t forget your comfy shoes.

SATURDAY NIGHT JUNE 22, 6pm – ???: The Post
(2001 N St – 20th and M – Lincoln NE 68510)
The Post is located in the recently (in the scheme of things) re-developed Telegraph District just a couple of blocks from The High! We have a reserved room, and we’ll start gathering at 6pm. Catered taco bar (included) from Tipsy Tina’s (thank you Heidi Schossow) will open at 7pm. This locally owned caterer/venue is delish and does include meat and meatless options! Cash bar available for beverages. We’re planning to have some music in case you want to party like it’s 1994. We have the room until 10 pm, but the venue is open until 2:00 am if folks want to continue to hang out and socialize. Or maybe you want to move on to another venue, or maybe you’ll be tired and just want to find your pillow. 😀
Attire: IF you are a person who likes to get a little fancier in your dress, this is probably the time to do it, but you can also be casual if that’s your vibe. We Links know how to blow the doors off of a look, but 1994 at LHS was also all about doing your own thing… and we’re still about that life… we love you just as you are. Wear what makes you feel fantastic. We’ll respect you if you wanna show off, or if you wanna just chill.

SUNDAY JUNE 23: That’s ALL YOU folks, but PLEASE feel free to use this group as a place to organize any get-togethers or outings you’d like to invite other 94 Links to join in on. Maybe you want to go to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo (currently under the leadership of our own Evan Killeen) or gather at Antelope Park… check out some local museums, wineries, breweries, farmer’s markets, sporting events, parks, or live music venues. www.lincoln.org/events will allow you to access a whole calendar of events happening in our fair city, and you can narrow your search to the week around our reunion.

If you’re arriving in town before Friday, and you want to organize a Thursday night gathering or a Friday lunch… we encourage you to do so! Maximize your time with your LHS classmates, and share any gatherings here that you’d like to.

The Foundation is managed by a professional staff with the guidance of an active, involved Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. We work with donors who wish to establish or enhance programs through one-time gifts, annual pledges, lifetime gifts or legacy gifts. The Foundation received the 2006 Integrity Award from the Lincoln Better Business Bureau in recognition of our high standards of service and accountability. Our Fund-A-Need program and Community Learning Centers have both been recognized nationally as model programs.

Fund-A-Need

Fund-A-Need is an innovative web-based program developed to help students and staff in the Lincoln Public Schools. The Fund-A-Need section of the Foundation’s web site allows teachers to post creative educational ideas and needs online as a “proposal” for all to view. Donors can choose from the online list of proposals and make a gift to fund a classroom need.
